Aretha Franklin: “Master Of Eyes (The Deepness Of Your Eyes)”
-this is what I like about Funk and Soul from the 60’s and 70’s: there is alway something else for you to find, even from the established artists. just fund this today in a second hand box with a whole lotta crap. now “Master Of Eyes” is a nice building funky soul track. nice flute, too. has a kind of edge. the flip “Moody’s Mood For Love” is a high-tempo swinging affair with two major breakdowns. fast, halftime, stop, fast, stop, done. right in the first verse Aretha and her background singers are even losing the words in the tempo. very funny. I love these little things. make me smile. thank you, Aretha!-
