-man, this is a funky choir. founded to get people of the streets (and out of trouble) in East Harlem this project is such a blessing. on this album from 1972 their intepretation of Richie Haven’s “Freedom” is worth searching for it alone. fast, funky and sung with an almost undescribable longing for just that: freedom. all of the eleven tunes show deepness and originality to the fullest. a new favourite-
