V/A: “Funky Funky New Orleans”
-this compilation is out for a while. and it has some good tunes and some that I don’t care about too much. but most of all it has “Soul Power” by Walter Washington & The Soul Powers w/ Smokey Johnson. and it has nothing to do with James Brown’s tune of the same name. instead it has a very distinctive new Orleans drumsound, very nice surprising vovcal breaks and a great groove altogether. nothing for boring people…-
