V/A: “Jazz Dance Classics 3 & 4″
-man, if I ever catch the guy who stole records from me while I was Djing one wednesday night back in the 90s! however as he stole five altogether, I have managed to find three of them again in the last years and with “Jazz Dance Classics Volume Four” I found the fourth. fortunatly that find was accompanied by “Volume Three”, so I bought both. on Vol. 3 there’s Sonny Stitt, gary bartz, Cal Tjader, Boogaloo Joe Jones, Johnny Guitar Watson, Pleasure and Melvin Sparks, Vol. 4 has Prince Lasha, Linda Lyndell, Leon Spencer Jr, Pucho & His latin Soul Brothers, Little Sonny, Charles Kynard, Johnny Lyttle, and again Boogaloo Joe Jones. highly recommended. by the way, when I was a child my older sister used to have these “Jazz Dance”-classes and it was nothing related to this kind of stuff. funny how phrases mean different things after some years. I guess that’s why there are now “HipHop Worldchampionships” without any rapping or DJing or spraying but a whole lotta dancing, more or less related to breakdance.. seriously, what’s up with that?!-
