V/A: “Rewind 4″
-I didn’t appreciate all of the “Rewind” albums as 2 and 3 did not provide the quality and standard set by the first one. the concept is to have “mostly” new and fresh interpretations of classic songs from almost any genre. and the majority seemd to be electronic versions. on this one there are more acoustic and live played tunes. check Willis excellent re-talke on Cameo’s “Word Up” or Nostalgia 77’s remake of “7 Nation Army” by the White Stripes. Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings have their funky rendition “This Land Is Your Land” on here, and there is a nice afro-funk version of “Funky Nassau” on it as well. so this one’s recommended-
