Pete Rock: “NY’s Finest”
-so I’m three tracks into the new Pete Rock album and I already have that “feeling good about HipHop”-feeling that’s missing quite often these days when checking new productions. maybe I’m getting old. any which way this album is veeeeery nice. Pete Rock is living up to the standard he once set. guests include Masta Killa, Redman, Sheek Louch, Chip Fu, Lords Of The Underground and Styles P to name a few. and going through the tracks I rediscover bits and pieces from some of my favourite records, be it vocal-bits from classic speeches or classics breakbeats. go check for yourself at your local recordstore. and I’m back to listening now.-
