-this record makes me realize that I am growing old(er), as it is first of all a great HipHop-LP overall, with dope guest MC’s and ill production. it also made me realize though, that sometimes the bragging and boasting, along with the sexism and violent wordplay is not as much fun and entertaining as it used to be for me. see, I used to just laugh at the extremes of such raps and probably even admire the cleverness you need for a dope (yet maybe questionable) punchline, but sometimes I’m a little jaded. hands down, this is a great album and it is indeed a lot of fun to listen to. but it feels different than back in the 80’s. and maybe that’s just me…-
