The Fatback Band: “Njia (Nija) Walk/Soul Man”
-so we enter a store in Camden, and after a little insult by the two weird men behind the counter who wanted to lock the door to then show us their kung fu-styles (true storie!!!), I finally get to take a look at their boxes of 45s, well one of them that is. and they could’ve made some good money that day, but after I picked out this (while the whole “Wanna see a picture of my ex-wife? We gon’ kick your asses with our kung-fu! Don’t worry, we’re just sick of the f**king dealers coming in. Show me your money first! etc kept going on), they started to prepare some cocaine, so I paid this and we left. for good. “Njia (Nija) Walk” is some really deep stuff while their saxophone-version of the Sam & Dave classic “Soul Man” starts of with a nice tribute to the original.
